Welcome back!

assembly

We welcome all students back to school on Tuesday 21 July for another new term! We hope everyone had a relaxing and safe break. As all schools have returned to full-time on-campus learning, we would like to use this opportunity to remind everyone some important key points:

  • School attendance: We would like to remind parents and carers not to send students to school if they are unwell, even if they have mild symptoms. Students should be at school unless:
    • they have a medical certificate which states that they are unable to return to school due to an ongoing medical condition and the expected timeframe
    • they are currently unwell.

If a student is absent due to public health advice to self isolate due to attendance at a venue - should this be the case, please contact the school to advise.

We want to reassure you that the safety of our community remains our priority, especially with the local COVID-19 cases now emerging. We have attached the link to the news and updates page from NSW Health.

  • Important points to note relevant to COVID-19 testing:
    • If a student gets tested for COVID-19, they must self-isolate/quarantine until their results come back as negative
    • If anyone in a household tests positive for COVID-19, then everyone else in that household is a close contact and must quarantine for 14 days, even if their results come back as negative.
  • Hygiene measures: Each classroom is equipped with a sanitising kit containing paper towel, cleaning spray and sanitiser. We remain vigilant in sanitising equipment before and after each lesson.
  • Sport/Physical activity: School sport returns this week with awareness around COVID-19 requirements. Students will now be permitted to play soccer, touch football or basketball during recess and lunch. Students are to be in their full sport uniform on Tuesdays.
  • Bring you own device (BYOD): We encourage students to continue to bring their electronic device to school to support teaching and learning. Students bringing their own device will also reduce sharing of equipment.
