At Sir Joseph Banks High school we are fortunate to enjoy close working relationships with universities, organisations, businesses and individuals. These partnerships are imperative in providing students with creative and engaging opportunities that enrich learning and inspire our students to grow.
The School Ambassadors Award was introduced as a way to recognise the outstanding support received throughout the year.
Our School Ambassador for 2017 was Bankstown Youth Development Service. The many programs and the support BYDS provides truly deepens and enriches the learning of our students.
UTS was the recipient of our School Ambassadors Award in 2018. Their programs including Sky High, UTS Summer School and HSC Tutoring, have played a valuable role in teaching and learning at Sir Joseph Banks High School for many years.
The nominees for 2019 were Western Sydney University PATHE Project, UTS Sky High and GWS Giants. The SJBHS Ambassador for Outstanding Contribution to SJBHS in 2019 was UTS Sky High.
2020 proved difficult to engage externally in so many ways due to COVID19, but The Australian Business and Community Network were amazing in adapting their program delivery to a online environment and continued to deliver opportunities to our students. They are a very worthy recipient of the 2020 School Ambassadors Award.
