Sweatshop is a literacy movement established to empower diverse communities through reading, writing and critical thinking. Creative writing and reading workshops are designed to support students to critically engage in a range of texts. Students learn to develop their own creative and academic writing skills.
Past and present SJBHS students have had their writing featured in Sweatshop publications such as This Little Red Thing, The Big Black Thing Chapter 1 and The Big Black Thing Chapter 2.
