U@Uni
The UTS U@Uni program is a key component of the UTS Widening Participation Strategy which provides a whole-of-university approach to increase the number of students from under-represented communities successfully completing university study.
A suite of programs including Summer School, University Experience Days and school visits aim to build aspiration for tertiary study, support academic attainment and widen participation in higher education.
U@Uni Academy
U@Uni Academy involves selected students who are provided with academic and mentoring support throughout their senior high school years, and the opportunity to study at UTS afterwards. Students who successfully graduate from the U@Uni Academy are offered direct entry to a course at UTS.
U@Uni Tutoring
The UTS tutorial program supports academic attainment for Year 10-12 students by providing tutorial assistance. UTS students provide one-on-one and small group tutoring and act as positive role models for school students participating in the program and encourage them to consider university study
Sir Joseph Banks High School students have been part of this valuable project since it began. Participants say that the program has broadened their world and opened their minds to new opportunities in the world of work.
