Fast Forward
The Fast Forward initiative is run by Western Sydney University.
The program begins in Year 9 and continues through to Year 12. It aims to help students see the value of continuing their education on to Year 12 and beyond.
A university mentor is allocated to a group of students who then participate in university workshops and visits. In their senior years, each student is allocated a university student mentor who is studying the degree that the student is interested in.
Fast Forward is an extremely prestigious and valuable program that promotes the benefits of lifelong learning and life opportunities to students and their families.
PATHE
PATHE is the acronym for Pasifika Achievement To Higher Education. The program strives to develop aspirations towards further education and training in Pacific communities.
PATHE promotes options for Pasifika people to develop and gain new skills and new knowledge, leading to greater opportunities across life. Established in 2012 and facilitated by the Office of Widening Participation and the School of Social Sciences and Psychology, PATHE operates across three key components: student support, outreach activities and innovative projects.
We are fortunate to enjoy close relationships with Dr Jioji Ravulo and Jay Laga'aia who regularly visit our school to mentor and support our Pasifika students.
