The multicultural diversity of Sir Joseph Banks High School is celebrated regularly. Our school is a cohesive place of acceptance where learning for all is valued.
The Festival of Cultures is a highlight of our school year. It is a day of colour and excitement as students and teachers wear their national costumes and perform their national dances. At lunchtime the creative and performing arts (CAPA) area is a buzz of activity with decorations, performance and a wide variety of food stalls including tastings of Middle Eastern, Indian, Vietnamese, African, Aussie and Greek delicacies.
During the afternoon musicians, dancers, bands, solo artists, the school choir and special guests entertain the crowd with a spectacular concert that highlights the unification and acceptance of all cultures within our school.
