Coach's Report
That's a wrap! Our U/15 Boys Basketball season has come to an end for 2023...
On Monday, SJBHS came up against Condell Park High School in the semi-finals of the Sydney South-West Knockout Competition. The boys unfortunately fell to defeat within the last minute of the game. However, this semi-final appearance has made history at SJB! No other basketball team at SJB has progressed to the top 4 schools in the Sydney South-West region!
On Tuesday, the boys represented our school at the Basketball NSW Schools Competition. The boys played 3 games on the day, narrowly missing out on the semi-final for our division. Game 1 saw a loss to Kiama High School... Games 2 and 3 was the the best showcase of basketball we have played this year. Game 2 saw a clear win against Good Samaritan Catholic College. Game 3 was a stela performance all round. The boys were able to capitalise on their fundamentals and come away with a great win against Rooty Hill High School.

To Reign... keep saving everyone on the sideline from those runaway basketballs. To Jason... keep working on dominating those rebounds. To Yusef... you have the highest arched shot I have ever witnessed from any player. To Ibrahim... your performance as the youngest player on the team was outstanding! To Austin... super sub!!! To Gabriel (roundabout)... point scoring mastermind... just not under the rim. To Ethan... you were focused and determined, keep working on your skills. To Joshua... your teamwork and leadership was unmatched!
To my Captain Ahmed and Vice Captain Nooan... absolute leaders on the court and for their team.
