Students, teachers, parents and carers, as well as members of our local community helped develop our school uniform to make sure it:
• meets the requirements of occupational health and safety, anti-discrimination and equal opportunity legislation
• includes items that are affordable, comfortable and made from easy-care and easy-wear fabrics
• is appropriate for the full range of school activities

Additional requirements
- Students must wear black leather lace up school shoes. This is for health and safety reasons in technical classrooms such as science and food technology labs. Girls are not permitted to wear low cut ballet style leather shoes as their feet are exposed to risks.
- Proper sports shoes are also required for support and safety during practical lessons. Shoes such as Rabens are not permitted as they do not meet requirements of a functional sporting shoe.
- No makeup is to be worn and no jewellery (except for a watch, sleepers or studs) is to be visible while students are in school uniform.
- Hair restraints must be discreet and in school colours.
- Students wearing a hijab should ensure that the colour is either maroon, black or white, in keeping with the school colours.
- School uniform is to be worn during examinations and excursions unless students and parents are notified otherwise.
- Students wishing to wear additional clothing for extra warmth in winter must ensure this is not visible through shirts or blouses.
- Scarves and beanies in school colours (maroon, grey, black) may be worn in cold weather.
Banned Items:
- Coloured items of clothing that do not match the school uniform – both under and over school shirts (branded jackets or jumpers)
- "Hoodies" and large coloured jackets
- Leggings or tights, in any colour
- Singlets are not acceptable to be worn as a sports shirt at any time of day, this includes lunch and recess
- "Cargo-style" pants, jeans or other "fashion pants"
