Excitement and anticipation filled our Learning Hub as we held the annual Joeys Cup! Students from five primary schools became town planners for a day working on a project-based challenge. The challenge involved creating a site plan for the mining town ‘Joeysville’ as well as building an example of a facility or infrastructure using shipping containers to scale.
From creating a budget plan to transforming shipping containers, all teams collaborated very well. Each school pitched their ideas to a panel of judges, outlining why their container city design is the most innovative.
As all teams completed the challenge exceptionally, it was an extremely difficult decision for the judges – double checking and triple checking their marking criteria.
Many thanks to Padstow North, Padstow Park, Punchbowl and Revesby Public School for participating and congratulations to Panania North Public School for taking out the trophy!
