Archie came to work (school) today!
Archie, a tan cavoodle-poodle cross cavalier, is much loved by students and staff at Sir Joseph Banks High School. He comes to school once a week where he receives lots of fuss and attention.
Archie belongs to our Deputy Principal, Mel Check. He also has a much bigger family - the students and staff of SJB! Archie is in the business of making people happy - he brings smiles and laughter wherever he goes!
Of course Archie had to come to school on Bring Your Dog to Work Day, a day that recognises the benefits of pets at the workplace. Research shows that pets make people happier, lower stress levels and create a comfortable, flexible environment with increased productivity, improved morale and reduced absenteeism.
We agree. Archie has been working his magic in our workplace for several years now. He even has an official school photograph and his own school tie!
