Our STEAMPunk Girls were the first school ever to visit the DoE Information Technology Directorate! We would like to thank Michelle Michael for giving us this amazing opportunity. Our girls spent the day working with Adafruit Circuit Playground kits which they programmed using Microsoft MakeCode to make wearable technology. A big thank you to Phillip Kaczorowski for organising the day and teaching our girls how to code. Our students also had the opportunity to present their projects in front of inspirational women who gave them valuable feedback. It was a great privilege for our girls to meet Mark Greentree, Director of Technology for Learning who said our students were excellent ambassadors for SJB. What a day! Stay tuned for the final products. We look forward to sharing this with our school and the STEMshare community.
