New electives a big hit!

An exciting range of new electives was introduced for Year 10 this year that provide students with opportunities to explore their interests, build confidence and expand their learning outcomes. Electives are designed to be future focused, student centred and engaging in order to inspire innovation. Students can choose from:

• Change Agents
• STEM
• Photographic and Digital Media
• Graphics Technology
• Textiles and Design
• Drama

Change Agents, a brand new course developed by Sir Joseph Banks High School STEAM experts, is about developing young entrepreneurs through project based learning and the design thinking process. In the words of Change Agents teacher, Mrs Tran, “It’s wonderful to see students having fun with their learning as they develop creative and critical thinking skills that can be applied in the real world.”
