Yesterday I was lucky enough to be offered the opportunity to join a panel of well known educators to speak about how we support student learning at the first Sydney Morning Herald Education Summit.
I met with the Secretary of Education, Mark Scott and his Deputy Secretary Murat Dizdar, before joining the panel on stage.
The SMH’s article 'Principals push back against ridiculous blanket ban on phones in schools' which is about part of the discussion surrounding mobile phone bans in every school, features commentary on how we manage mobile phones at SJBHS.
We teach the behaviours we want to see to move from ‘me2we@SJB’ and keep it simple.
What a privilege and honour to join our educational leaders and bring our school community voice to the debate.
Thanks to our partners in best practice, West Wallsend High School for this great idea. We look forward to sharing more amazing ideas with you at the Executive Conference in April titled Leadership 360.
