Pamela Dennis is the worthy recipient of the 2019 Aunty Margaret Williams Aboriginal Ambassador Award.
For the past year, Pamela has lead the Sir Joseph Banks Koori Club. In this role she has developed positive relationships with our students, promoted positive and supportive relationships between students and worked very hard to develop cultural pride through all interactions with staff and students. Pamela has provided a range of exciting and meaningful opportunities including gaining access to Koori Radio in Redfern and participating in a live broadcast, ongoing collaborations with Bankstown Youth Development Services including interviews for Stories of Strength, cultural dance and art programs, research on our local area and the Dharug People and, for the first time, arranged for students to participate in our first inter school AECG STEAM Camp at Stanwell Tops Conference Centre. In all Pamela does she is a positive role model to all students, she lives with cultural pride and is always open to share her knowledge.
Congratulations, Pamela. We are indeed fortunate that you have joined the Sir Joseph Banks High family.
