Some of our Year 12 boys performed a passionate haka dedicated as a display of ultimate respect for their school and all the people who have helped them on their journey; our staff, students, parents, family and friends were honoured to receive such a significant gesture of gratitude.
We also said a formal farewell to one of our teachers, Mr Lustre. The school presented him with a gift as thanks for all the work he has done and how engaged he has been with our students during his time here. We wish him all the very best at his new school.
The Year 12 Year Advisor, Mrs Majed, and Assistant Year Advisor, Mrs Tran gave a wonderful heartfelt speech to farewell their graduating students. They highlighted how they, as students and Year Advisors, had begun their journey together on the first day of Year 7 and stayed together to make it all the way through to the final day of Year 12.
Humbling words of gratitude and inspiring words of future possibilities resonated within everyone in the audience. Mrs Majed and Mrs Tran were applauded with a standing ovation from their Year 12 cohort.
To top off a fantastic ceremony, there was a special Year 12 graduation video that was put together by another group of Year 12 students. It was entertaining, funny, well edited and captured the fun spirit and attitude that our students and staff display on a daily basis.
Congratulations again to the class of 2018 on completing your amazing high school journey. The graduation ceremony was a great celebration of all that you have accomplished together and is definitely one to remember. We wish you all the very best in your final exams. Remember, life is short; work, play and love with all your heart.
