This year was the biggest ever MMM group to go on camp, we had 18 students alongside Mr Garlick and Mr Itaoui. The trip to the Royal National Park by train was about 2 hours. Once we left the train we all had to climb one of the steepest hills we had ever seen, with packed bags on, its fair to say we were all exhausted once we got to the top.
This camp was done slightly differently, we went for 2 days (not 3) so it meant we had to walk a lot more each day. The first day we had a 10km walk which was about 4 hours, to our campsite. Once arrived, we set the tents up and climbed another steep mountain to find Miss Cadogan on the other side with our evening meal. After we finished eating, it was time to climb again, to reclimb that mountain back to our campsite and get some rest. We all made the mistake of staying up late and not sleeping, this affected all of us massively as we had to energy to do the 25k walk across the national park.
With the help from each other and the teachers we all successfully walked 35k within 2 days, this was an extraordinary experience for all everyone and we all would love to do it again, this time sleeping.
