I would like to thank all our parents, staff and students for contributing to the tremendous year that we have enjoyed as a school. On the one hand, it is hard to believe that it has come to an end already, but on the other, how thoroughly deserved the holidays are for all.
What I’ve loved about this year, is the tremendous acknowledgment of our students, staff and you – our parents – by the broader community. The validation that we are a centre of educational excellence that delivers quality learning experiences and life long memories, as well as the results of which our students and families are proud! In fact we really do deliver upon our vision of providing Excellence, Innovation, Opportunity & Success – we are the highest growth high school in the state!
One of my favourite memories of this year was from our Presentation Day ceremony when Zachary Saab, one of our Support Unit students, sang ‘Let Her Go’ by Passenger, so proudly in front of the whole assembly. The whole school cheered, swayed, clapped and cried as we all enjoyed that special moment that encapsulates our school with soul. We care and supported each other to be better versions of ourselves – together.
Glenn Brookes – our local member, shook my hand and stated, “This school just has it mate, congratulations on the success you have all enjoyed. I love visiting this school. It is a very special place”.
On that note, congratulations to our amazing HSC students on our best results ever! Have a safe and merry Christmas and we look forward to connecting with each other and learning again next year. Enjoy the holidays and we’ll see you all back here in the new year.
