FIRST Lego League Tournament

Ten students from the Year 8 Enrichment class participated in the FIRST LEGO League for the first time this year!

Our team, projectSJB attended an official tournament, hosted by Bossley Park High School on Sunday 18 November 2018. Students worked enthusiastically to successfully complete the Robot Game, the Project, and the Core Values.

Students were challenged by programming an autonomous robot to score points on a themed playing field (Robot Game). They also developed a solution to a problem they have identified (Project), creating a resistance band for astronauts to use in order to maintain physical health while in space. Their entire project was guided by the FIRST Core Values: Discovery, Innovation, Impact, Inclusion and Teamwork.

Such an exciting opportunity and rewarding experience for our students. Well done to everyone involved and a special thanks to Mrs Tran for helping mentor our students through the whole process.
