Gil Marks once said, "To know a community is to know its food."
There is nothing that brings together people better than food. Food in many cultures represents community, celebration, hope and even grief. This is the second Iftar held at Sir Joseph Banks High School and we hope that there will be many more to come. Without the wonderful Anita Krayem and her husband, Aimen, an event of this magnitude would not have been possible. Over 150 people of different walks of life, came together and feasted. The Iftar truly showed what Bankstown and Revesby are, microcosms of the world's nations. We thank those who came and shared our night with us. Special thanks to the Krayem family, the Roumieh family, the Abdo family and Abla's Patisserie Greenacre.
We would also like to thank our sponsors for the event:

We would like to pay our respects and acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land and also pay respect to Elders both past and present.
