Today we celebrated success, success which stems from the many literacy, numeracy, enrichment and engagement programs we have in place to inspire, challenge and support our students on their learning journey.
At Presentation Day today, Mr Kitteringham proudly announced that at a meeting this week with our partner primary principals and the Director of Education, Jan Green, it was announced that we are the best high school in the Bankstown region at adding value to students' education. Having the highest value added scores in the region makes us the best at what we do every day.
He also told the audience that this term the school had received a further accolade. The head of CESE which is the Centre for Educational Statistics, contacted us to request a visit. Based upon feedback from our school community through the TTFM survey, we came in the top ten schools in the state for Advocacy. This tells us that we work exceptionally well with our students to create the most educationally supportive environment from which learning can happen.
Finally, we were visited by the Premier's Implementation Unit. Our scores for adding value to literacy and numeracy were so high, that the Premier sent this team to learn about how we are achieving such amazing results.
State and District recognition show that our programs are working and that we are truly living our motto ‘Excellence, Innovation, Opportunity, Success'.
Congratulations to our students, our teachers and our school!
